  • Details on how much guaranteed money De Sean Jackson will get in restructured deal with Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles and Jackson have mutual interest in a reunion.

Jackson was set to make $10 million for the Bucs in 2019 with a full $10 million cap hit, but no dead money if released.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo reported Monday evening that the Eagles and Buccaneers worked out a trade to bring Jackson back to Philadelphia, five years after the team released him at the peak of his career.

Reports indicate the Bucs will get back a 2019 6th round pick and the Eagles will get the Bucs' 2019 7th round pick in the deal. He played six seasons with the Eagles, earning three Pro Bowl nods in his time there before a nasty divorce sparked by then-coach Chip Kelly. According to ESPN, the Bucs are still seeking a trade partner for the 32-year-old Giants-killer, who is supposed to be on the books for $10 million next season, though none of it is guaranteed.

In the 2018-19 season in Tampa Bay, Jackson caught 41 passes for 774 yards and four touchdowns. When he finally returned last week against the Cowboys, he recorded just one reception for 24 yards. The Eagles needed a consistent deep-threat at wide receiver.

Malik Jackson nearly certainly won't be the only top-of-the-roster player added in free agency.
