  • Huawei joins bendable devices trend, revealing its Mate X foldable phone

It has awarded the Galaxy S10 display its highest ever A+ grade, same as the Pixel 3 a year ago, and claims that the Galaxy S10 has an "impressive display that establishes many new display performance records, earning DisplayMate's best performing smartphone display award, and receiving our highest ever A+ grade".

Samsung first plans to launch the vertically folding phone later this year or early next year. All phones are water resistant and pack a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Mobile will commercially release the $1,980 7.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Fold April 26.

However, a Samsung spokesperson told Bloomberg the Fold was displayed that way to help divert people's focus to the Galaxy S10 models coming out later this week. With Samsung's S10 flagship now featuring an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the glass, it wasn't looking likely that the score would improve.

Sony Offering Refunds for Anthem PS4 Owners
Whatever the cause, there's now a long list of tweets at the AskPlaystation Twitter account asking for refunds due to the issue. To be specific, some players have had issues whereby the game not only crashes, but completely shuts down their system.

Galaxy Fold, a smartphone phone with a flexible screen (Dh7,250), will go on sale in the region in the second quarter of 2019. Samsung is now trying to improve the screen's strength, as continued folding will create a crease in the display's protective film layer. Now, despite all that, Samsung is planning not one, but two more foldable smartphones in the near future.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also trying to do something about the display of the Galaxy Fold, as it allegedly creases after about 10,000 folds.

The imperfection develops on a protective film that covers the touch sensor bonded with the display underneath, according to the report.

Now, Zack from JerryRigEverything has performed a teardown of the Samsung Galaxy S10 to figure out how things worked inside the device. The results are never good with modern smartphones, but this is a new low point for Samsung - the Galaxy S10 is even harder to fix than the Galaxy S9.

IFixit also noted that the industry-first, in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor becomes "in-screen" via glue, and that if you need to fix it, you'll probably have to get the whole screen replaced.
