During the company's financial results briefing for the end of previous year, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa revealed that the film is eyeing a 2022 release date.

Aside from a new Switch console, the report mentions that there will be some sort of improvement made on the Switch online service, but there isn't much more information around that detail right now.

Nintendo has announced a new partnership with LINE to produce new mobile games, and the first of these will be Dr. Mario World.

Products like Pikachu dolls and other merchandise featuring Nintendo characters, such as a Monopoly board game starring Super Mario, are some examples of how the company hopes to cash in on its rich content. It's going to be free to download, and it will include optional in-app purchases.
