It's important to note that the Warriors can match any offer sheet McCaw receives from another team, so the move isn't finalized just yet.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw is signing a two-year, $6 million offer sheet with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Because they hold his rights, the Warriors have the option of either matching the Cavs offer and retaining McCaw, or letting him walk. McCaw's 2019-20 contract is non-guaranteed for $3 million. Per Bobby Marks, the Warriors tax bill would increase from $50.3 million to $61.6 million if they were to match the offer for McCaw, meaning there is a major financial decision on the horizon for the two-time defending champions.

He even scrambled for a few hard-fought yards with former Miami Dolphins quarterback and Hall of Famer Dan Marino in attendance. I'd feel much more comfortable with Alabama at -3.5 than I am with Saban's crewing being favored by almost a touchdown.

McCaw did not accept Golden State's $1.7 million qualifying offer and also reportedly rejected a two-year, $5 million contract from the team in early October.

McCaw was sidelined for nearly two months with a bone bruise in his lower back near the end of last season after a horrific fall during a game at Sacramento.

The 23-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at UNLV, was originally selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round (38th pick overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft.
