  • Kareem Hunt cut by Kansas City Chiefs after alleged assault video on woman emerges

The NFL said in a statement Sunday that its investigation began immediately after the incident in February and that the league "continues to pursue a complete understanding of the facts". He shouldn't have done it, and you should never put your hands on a woman unless your life was in danger, but at no time did he brutalize her.

"The Chiefs are right", Hunt said. Charges were never filed on either party and as quickly as the news emerged, all aspects of any issue regarding Hunt were dropped. What perspective could Hunt have possibly gained since he was released by the Chiefs less than 48 hours ago, when he coasted through an entire season without feeling the need to come clean about what had actually happened that night? "He has a long life to live, this will be a defining moment, but it shouldn't be the moment that defines you". Hunt appears to argue with a woman.

Hunt was released Friday following the release of the TMZ video after the team determined that Hunt was "not truthful" in his discussions with the Chiefs about what occurred. He is now on the NFL Exempt List, which means he is not allowed to play, practice or even attend games, but if his punishment is levied that status will likely be rescinded. Hunt also kicks the woman in the leg. "I feel like I let a lot of people down, and I just really want to apologize to everybody, the Chiefs organization, my family and close friends". But neither the team nor the league had seen the video before it became public Friday.

However, a 19-year-old woman named Abigail Ottinger has alleged that Hunt has assaulted her around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Metropolitan Hotel.

The victim told police after the February incident that they should watch the video and that she wanted Hunt arrested, USA Today reported.

"It's no excuse for me to act that way".

After the video went viral, a crowdfunding page was set up for the victim, and around £50,000 in donations was collected in a day. The incident, which is believed to have occurred on 25 October, was shared thousands of times last night after footage surfaced.

"I have not", Hunt said when asked if he had reached out to the woman he assaulted".

"Honestly, I just want to let the world know how sorry I am for my actions and, you know, it's been a tough time for me and I'm extremely embarrassed because of that video", Hunt said to open the interview with Salters.

Per NFL Network, Hunt faces more than the baseline six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, and the league is investigating the June incident, which could result in additional discipline. I'll do whatever I can to help win.

Rice was originally suspended two games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who later was heavily criticised for such a light penalty after the video was released. I know my upbringing wasn't flawless.

The former Chiefs running back was placed on the commissioner exempt list on Friday, which will keep him off the field until the National Football League finishes its investigation. If he goes unclaimed, then Hunt will become a free agent.

"I am asking for forgiveness". I regret the decision I made that night.
