Trump Urges Mexico To Send Migrants Home After Border Clash

  • 'Thank you President T': Trump congratulates himself as holiday break ends

The shutdown took place only three days after Trump threatened to close the "whole border" with Mexico if "it gets to a level where we're going to lose control or people are going to start getting hurt".

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has used 2-chlorobenzylidene malononitrile, or CS, since 2010, and deployed it 26 times in 2012 and 27 times in 2013.

The President also reminded reporters that not every man and woman that's with a child is indeed their parent or parents.

The agency said that officers made a decision to use the tear gas "because of the risk to agents' safety". "He did not say welcome them when they had the right papers".

The same tear gas agent that the Trump administration is taking heat for deploying against a border mob this weekend is actually used fairly frequently - including a few times a month during some years under President Obama, according to Homeland Security data. We will close the Border permanently if need be.

The tweet comes as 42 migrants were arrested on the U.S. side of the Mexico border, according to a San Diego Sector Border Patrol official.

"We were told that if we crossed (the first barrier) they would give us asylum, because we were already in the United States", said Flor Jimenez, a 32-year-old Honduran woman who was among those who turned back along with her husband, sister and young daughter.

"Mexico should move the flag waving migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries", he wrote.

Unai Emery Reveals The One Thing Arsenal Lacked Under Arsene Wenger
Similarly, Lucas Torreira came off the bench in the first five Premier League games this season but is now a guaranteed starter. In an interview with Spanish media outlet Marca, Arsenal head coach Emery said: "I met once with him, and little else".

These migrants face extreme restrictions imposed by the U.S. government on being able to present their claims to asylum through the port of entry (according to press accounts, 80 people were allowed through the port of entry on Friday, which was cut to 40 on Saturday and Sunday). Democrats and even some lawmakers in Trump's own party have resisted his calls to fund his proposed border wall.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said in a statement that USA authorities will continue to have a "robust" presence along the Southwest border and that they will prosecute anyone who damages federal property or violates US sovereignty.

If they enter the United States, legally or illegally, they have a right to seek asylum. The migrants, who are fleeing poverty and violence, have said they would wait there until they could request asylum, despite growing US measures to tighten the border.

"If it was a protest, it was a really stupid way to go about it because there were individuals who started throwing rocks and other projectiles", Shawn Moran, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council, told the paper of the November 24, 2013, incident.

The head of the Border Patrol, Carla Provost, also defended the use of tear gas.

The more people began running towards the border, the more joined them.

The calamity lead to the temporary closing of the border crossing, adding to the confusion and chaos.

Gastelum said he has met with American officials who "agreed to hurry up their documentation and process of doing what they have to do" to process the migrants' applications.
