With The Independent reporting on the potential impact of tax reforms in Spain and how that could adversely affect world-class players featuring in La Liga, it perhaps raises question marks over whether or not either Barca or Madrid will be able to afford Neymar's transfer fee and his wages.

However, in recent weeks it has emerged that the superstar has sensationally asked for a return to Barcelona.

But now, after success at PSG, he is looking for another club.

Neymar Jr.is regretting his decision of leaving Barcelona and joining PSG. Now, he faces a similar issue at PSG where Kylian Mbappe commands star billing after helping France to win the World Cup during the summer.

Whilst he appeared to distance himself from any of these reports, he admitted that a deal is possible.

However, while Valverde failed to play down the speculation, Tuchel didn't mince his words and insisted that it is "useless" to discuss Neymar's rumoured move back to Catalonia.

Barcelona have no plans to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain, the club's vice-president Jordi Cardoner has said, dismissing media reports they were ready to tempt the Brazil forward back to the Nou Camp.

Thomas Tuchel has admitted he has no information on Neymar's intentions beyond the end of the current season amid rumours that the Paris Saint-Germain star may be eyeing a move away from Ligue 1.

"It is October. I can not speak with Neymar about what he will be doing in 2019", Tuchel said, quoted by ESPN's Jonathan Johnson "He has a contract, so it is useless us speaking about his future".

"No one on the Barca board has talked about the possibility of bringing back Neymar, right now we can't give an answer because no one has even mentioned it", Cardoner told SER Catalunya.

"He was the one who left".

A number of different stories have emerged over the past few days that Neymar is "sorry" to have left Barça and feels the competition in Paris is not getting the most out of him as a player.
