The state-run Anadolu Agency also quoted the minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, as saying that Turkey would share "with the world" the results of its investigation into Khashoggi's disappearance.

The Saudis have strongly denied the allegations but USA media outlets have reported they will acknowledge he was killed in a botched interrogation.

The fate of Khashoggi, a prominent journalist and vocal critic of Saudi Arabia's policies, remains unclear more than two weeks after he entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul but never emerged.

According to a report published by daily Yeni Şafak on October 19, the suspected black van was found by the Turkish police in the closed garage of the consulate during the search.

This year's event comes as Saudi Arabia faces intense global pressure following the disappearance and apparent death of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi citizen and USA resident who has written critically of the Saudi regime.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said he now believed Khashoggi was dead.

But he did express confidence in intelligence reports that suggest a high-level Saudi role in the suspected killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has neither heard a tape nor seen a transcript related to the disappearance of Saudi Arabia's dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, his spokesperson has said.

Turkish intelligence officials made a decision to review an audio-visual feed from inside the Saudi consulate - a feed whose existence Ankara has not publicly acknowledged, sources told CNN.

Pompeo denied ABC News' report, calling it "factually false".

A USA government source said that U.S. intelligence agencies are increasingly convinced of the crown prince's culpability in the operation against Khashoggi, which they believe resulted in his death.

Trump last week vowed Saudi Arabia would face "severe punishment" if evidence implicates Saudi involvement in Khashoggi's disappearance, but his administration has softened its stance in recent days - even casting doubt on reported Turkish audio and video evidence.

Turkey's pro-government press has reported that Turkey has an audio recording that proves the alleged murder of Khashoggi at the consulate and that he was tortured before his death.

After investigations at the Saudi consulate and the consul's residence, Turkish authorities have widened the geographic focus of the search, the senior Turkish officials said. "They're an important strategic ally of the United States, and we need to be mindful of that", he said.

All of the identified individuals have since left Turkey. Saudi officials have insisted Mr Khashoggi left unharmed, without providing any evidence of the claim.

The kingdom had hoped to use the event, due to be held in Riyadh on October 23-25, to boost its global image.

However, several politicians have pulled out from next week's Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh - which has been nicknamed "Davos in the Desert" - including International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde.

He said that Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire's planned trip to the kingdom's economic forum next week would not now go ahead. But the king's latest intervention reflects growing disquiet among some members of the royal court about MbS's fitness to govern, the five sources said.
