DEVELOPING: Police Respond to Active Shooter in Middleton, Wisconsin

  • Active shooter 'opens fire in software company causing

An employee at a Wisconsin business where a shooting took place says she ran for her life after hearing "really loud" shots.

Reports say the shots were fired at Esker Software.

The incident began at about 10:25 a.m. CT on Wednesday when officers were called to reports of an active shooter at 1850 Deming Way, which is home to WTS Paradigm, Esker Software, and other companies.

A large number of emergency services, including a SWAT team and multiple ambulances, responded to the shooting.

Law enforcement have responded to reports of a shooter in an office building near Madison, Wisconsin. She provided no additional information.

At least four people were injured in the shooting in Middleton, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. There are 34 stores and restaurants in the center that were temporarily closed, Kautzky said.

NBC15 was told the suspect walked into the building and opened fire.

We spoke to employees who work at a building next door who said they saw employees running from the WTS Paradigm building.

WMTV in Madison has a crew on the way and will provide updates when more information is received.
