Tesla noted in a statement to Reuters that Morton opted to depart from the company due to his discomfort with the level of public attention and Tesla's overall pace of work.

Elon Musk sparked concern with shareholders after smoking marijuana live web show with United States comedian Joe Rogan late Thursday night while discussing a plethora of random subjects, including artificial, flame throwers and social media.

The tumult comes as Tesla has been ramping up production of its Model 3 electric vehicle, which is seen as a make-or-break effort for the company.

Even before the announcement of Morton's departure, the company's shares were already seeing a slight decline in Friday's pre-market trading as reports of Elon Musk's behavior in a podcast with comedian Joe Rogan emerged.

Musk told Rogan that running Tesla is the hardest of his several endeavors.

Toledano, who has been on leave of absence from the company, said she would not be returning to the company.

A request Friday for an interview with Musk for this article, through Tesla's media affairs office, had not received a reply.

It's not unsurprising given that Spacey and Cards parted ways after sexual misconduct claims against the actor surfaced last fall. In its initial report on the D.A. reviewing the case, THR noted that it was the second case against Spacey presented to the D.A.

Tesla Motors founder and tech billionaire Elon Musk sat down on "The Joe Rogan Experience" to share an interesting take on social media and technology - and smoked a blunt, too.

Shortly after smoking, Musk looks at his phone and laughs, telling Rogan he was getting texts from friends asking why he was smoking weed during the interview.

That said, Musk did reveal that his company Neuralink, which now explores how machines can connect humans and computers through electrodes, has "something interesting" to announce in a few months. "I don't actually notice any effect.I don't find that it is very good for productivity".

Musk stunned investors a month back with tweets saying he had funding to take the company private for $420 per share. "I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission, and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla's leadership or its financial reporting". "We think this is further evidence that the time is now for management and the Board to address these issues", Albertine said.

Tesla's stock had only just ended a seven-day losing streak on Thursday, with one analyst praising the company's recent execution. According to an article on NBC News, Tesla's stock has plummeted 9% since the episode aired on September 6.

Shockingly this was nearly a complete blindside to the board of directors at Tesla and just two weeks after that tweet Musk recanted and did his best to explain why he had claimed he had funding "secured". The chairman and CEO of both Tesla and Space Exploration Technologies Corp., among other companies, recently gave an emotional interview to The New York Times in which he said friends were anxious about exhaustion.
