The tech titan released an invitation to members of the press Thursday morning inviting them to "Gather Round" the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, Calif. on September 12. It appears that Apple is dropping the "+" designation and will just distinguish between the two by their screen size (as it does with the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro), which in this case is 5.8- and 6.5-inches.

The event's gold-themed invitation fuelled speculation that the company planned to release a gold-coloured handset, with the current iPhone X models only available in silver and grey.

The leak also reveals the two iPhone XS models in a new gold colour variant.

If the rumor is to be believed, all three models will have one more feature in common: They won't have the home button that has been the staple of Apple's flagship phone since its birth on June 29, 2007.

Nonetheless, if Apple does do away with the conventional button, millions more users will have to relearn the most basic UX of the iPhone (one that Steve Jobs frequently touted). The image of the Watch shows a new face that displays more information and a bigger display. According to 9toMac which obtained exclusive info, the new Series 4 will get a newer edge to edge display with thinner bezels. A photo of the Apple Watch Series 4 leaked on 9To5Mac Thursday. However, while we may see some of these debut September 12, it's likely Apple will save other products for a second event in October or November.

Trump says US-Mexico trade deal 'could be happening soon'
Long sceptical of foreign companies entering the Mexican oil industry, Lopez Obrador opposed Pena Nieto's energy reform. The President has repeatedly said he would withdraw from the pact if it's not changed to the advantage of the U.S.

The last phone in this year's iPhone lineup is expected to come with a lighter price tag and a 6.1-inch screen, with an LCD. And it's these two models that look set to be called iPhone XS.

Rumours have been swirling around forthcoming iPhone models for months, but Apple fans will not have to wait long for the tech giant to confirm what it has in store. The iPhone X was launched for $1000, but the successor to it, aka the iPhone XS, is expected to come with a price of around $800, which is nearly $200 less.

Alongside new iPhones and Apple Watches, Apple is rumored to announce two new iPad Pro models.

All the new iPhones will most likely have a glass back with support for wireless charging.
