Emmerson Mnangagwa's inauguration as Zimbabwe's president, scheduled for tomorrow, remains postponed pending a court ruling on the election results.

Mr Mnangagwa won 50.8% of the vote compared with Mr Chamisa's 44.3%.

The Constitutional Court has 14 days from the day the presidential challenge is lodged to render a decision.

Chamisa has claimed he won 56 percent of votes and called the election "fraudulent, illegal and illegitimate".

Advocate Mpofu said the applicant has enough evidence including alleged statistical misrepresentations by the elections administration body, ZEC and other factors that included an uneven playing field.

Two days after the vote, six people were killed in an army crackdown on protests against the victory by Mnangagwa's ruling ZANU-PF party, a reminder that Zimbabwe will struggle to fix its image as a nation known for repression and economic collapse. "We have a good case and cause".

Summer signing Fabinho , who converted all 16 penalties he took for Monaco in Ligue 1, dragged the spot-kick wide. Salah's driving run across the box teed the striker up for a shot which found the top corner via a deflection.

There was great optimism that the elections would bring real change after the end of Robert Mugabe's 37-year rule in November.

Earlier on Friday, opposition leader and former finance minister Tendai Biti appeared in court to challenge his arrest on Thursday on charges of public violence and illegally announcing election results.

She said the United States Government is deeply concerned that Zambia chose to hand over Mr Biti to the Zimbabwean authorities, and in the face of a reported Zambian court order blocking his expulsion from Zambia.

"We've managed to place before the court forms that show the (results) figures were erased".

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, established under the 2013 constitution, on Friday released a damning report into the post-election crackdown.

USA ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols Thursday made a surprise appearance at Tendai Biti's court hearing telling journalists soon after that the decision by Zimbabwean authorities to charge the MDC Alliance politician was "worrisome".
