  • Fulham complete loan signing of Atlético Madrid forward Luciano Vietto

Manchester United defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah on Thursday joined Fulham on season-long loan.

Sevilla have transferred a player who they were trying to move after a hard season and Fulham hope they can give him the support and confidence he's lacked after the Andalusian club's fans lost faith in him.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic may have spent over £100 million ($127 million, 111 million euros) on new players since gaining promotion to the Premier League but he says even they will have to prove worthy of a first team spot. "I'm very excited to get started with the team tomorrow", Vietto told Fulham's official website.

His performances attracted the attention of Atlético Madrid, who signed him in 2015, before loaning him out to Sevilla and then Valencia.

Mourinho loses power battle as United board opt against defensive signings
But when you are nine days without one minute of training or football, you go back and start with the other people". United seemed intent on only replacing players who left rather than improving on the squad.

On his side's return to the Premier League, Jokanovic said: 'Our principal objective and target must be to stay up.

In the 2016/17 campaign, Vietto played for Sevilla and a year ago he played the second half of the season for Valencia. We will have more information after the first game, it is better to think this way and we will see our level at the end of the season.

Vietto's addition continues a busy summer for Fulham, with the likes of Jean-Michael Seri, Andre Schurrle, Alfie Mawson, Fabri and Aleksandar Mitrovic all arriving.
