Roseanne Barr explains why her tweet against Valerie Jarrett wasn’t racist

  • Roseanne Barr disputes racist claims: 'I'm not that person'

In the tweet that led to her firing, Barr compared Jarrett to the offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes characters.

Roseanne apologised some more, explaining how she couldn't believe the tweet had been flagged up for racism.

In response to Hannity's questions about her troubled past, Barr also spoke about her history of mental-health issues, and how the part of the brain that makes her a "creative genius" is close to that which causes madness.

On 30 May, a day after ABC had cancelled the show, Barr claimed that she had taken the drug Ambien before she sent the tweets. She said on Wednesday she did not intend to watch Barr's interview. "That's what was in my head".

Barr revealed that her most recent contract with ABC gave her 24 hours to correct any tweet that might be controversial, but that ABC would not let her go on shows like The View to explain the remarks she made about Jarrett.

I'm so sorry if you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist because it wasn't.

"I'm sorry that you feel harmed and hurt". "Why, you ask? Well, the answer is simple: Because I voted for Donald Trump, and that is not allowed in Hollywood".

"I've apologized a lot, it's been two months", Barr said. I never meant to hurt anybody or say anything negative about an entire race of people, which I think thirty years of my work can attest to. "I am somebody who cares about civil rights", she said.

The plaintiff said he was inappropriately touched and sexually harassed multiple times while receiving care from Strauss. Ohio State also confirmed an additional 100 or so people plan to do interviews with a local prosecutor's office.

"I was so sad that people thought it was racist", Barr told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

According to Barr, "He constantly put his hands all over me".

"I have a different view of that", responded Barr as she gave her first TV interview since she was sacked from "Roseanne".

Barr apologized publicly to Jarrett and donated money to groups that support African-American youth but she still faces negativity, Boteach said.

Barr has also been crying foul and tweeting about her "disgust" for people who defended "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn, who Disney fired over pedophilia and rape jokes he tweeted.

Later in the live podcast she claimed that her axing off the sitcom was a long time coming and that ABC wanted her off the show for some time.

Barr has apologised to people for her tweet about former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, an African-American woman. "And then everybody started saying I was a racist, which is like the worst thing that you can call a Jewish person, especially one who, like me, grew up with Holocaust survivors". "Her skin tone is like mine, and I'm brown", Barr said. I made a mistake and I've paid the price for it. Hannity initially responded to the tweet by saying it was "outrageous".
