However, Jean-Pierre Bernes dismissed claims that a deal for the midfielder is imminent.

French forward Nabil Fekir reacts during the friendly football match between France and Ireland at the Stade de France in Paris, on May 28.

"He said via his social media account: "#Fekir and his agent Jean-Pierre #Bernes should be in #Liverpool this Sunday to settle the final details of the transfer of the French worldwide.

Liverpool could be on the verge of a dream summer transfer window.

'Liverpool's interest exists, but for the moment nothing is done and other clubs could come in.

Liverpool, however, looks set to miss out on Roma's goalkeeper Alisson, who the Daily Mail believes will opt to move to Real Madrid instead.

"Talks with Liverpool will only happen when there is an agreement with Lyon and Jean-Michel Aulas gives the green light". As such, Klopp may fall short in his quest to land Fekir before the World Cup.

Liverpool have already moved quickly to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, with the £39million arrival of midfielder Fabinho from Monaco following on from the previously agreed £48million move for RB Leipzig's Naby Keita.
