  • Parents in US sue 30-year-old son as he refuses to move out of their house

In a real-life case of "Failure to Launch", an upstate NY judge Tuesday ordered a 30-year-old man to move out of his parents' house after they went to court to have him ejected.

Michael Rotondo - who argued he should be allowed to stay for a further six months - was urged to move out of his family home in Camillus, New York of his own accord by the judge. "I mean, it seems to me like I should be provided with like 30 days or so, because generally you get 30 days.to vacate the premises", Rotondo said.

"You have heretofore been our guest and there is no lease or agreement that gives you any right to stay here without our consent".

Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the court case after several eviction letters offering money and other help were ignored.

"Be aware that we will take any appropriate actions necessary to make sure you leave the house as demanded", they wrote.

The Rotondos are due in court Tuesday for a hearing at which Michael will have to argue why he shouldn't be forced to leave home, according to court records. He also asked adult protective services to investigate the case.

But just how iZettle will be integrated with PayPal's own competing point-of-sale payment services remains to be seen. The deal will be an all-cash deal and is expected to be closed by third quarter of the current financial year.

They also offered to help him find somewhere to live, and told him he needed to find a job, saying, "There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you".

It's signed "Christina and Mark Rotondo".

There Michael answered their questions, telling them he occupies a bedroom in his parents' home, does not speak to them and is not ready to leave home.

Greenwood listened quietly, then corrected Rotondo's claim that he was entitled to live in the house for six more months, according to the Post-Standard.

In this interview with CNN, he explains why he will never reconcile with his parents. After the ruling by State Supreme Court Justice Donald Greenwood, son Michael Rotondo said, "This is outrageous" and said he would appeal the decision. "So I'm expecting something like that". "I just want a reasonable amount of time to vacate with the consideration of the fact that I was not really prepared to support myself at the time I was served these notices". He said he had a business but wouldn't elaborate.
