In a real-life case of "Failure to Launch", an upstate NY judge Tuesday ordered a 30-year-old man to move out of his parents' house after they went to court to have him ejected.
Michael Rotondo - who argued he should be allowed to stay for a further six months - was urged to move out of his family home in Camillus, New York of his own accord by the judge. "I mean, it seems to me like I should be provided with like 30 days or so, because generally you get 30 days.to vacate the premises", Rotondo said.
"You have heretofore been our guest and there is no lease or agreement that gives you any right to stay here without our consent".
Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the court case after several eviction letters offering money and other help were ignored.
"Be aware that we will take any appropriate actions necessary to make sure you leave the house as demanded", they wrote.
The Rotondos are due in court Tuesday for a hearing at which Michael will have to argue why he shouldn't be forced to leave home, according to court records. He also asked adult protective services to investigate the case.
