Early-morning Green text prompts huge game from Durant

  • Kragthorpe: They're stuck in the West, but the Jazz like where they stand after a season of improvement

Following the Golden State Warriors' 19-point loss to the New Orleans in game three of their second-round series, head coach Steve Kerr chose to make an adjustment to his starting lineup. Golden State took the first two games of the series, winning 123-101 at home in Game 1 Saturday and Game 2 by a 121-116 count at home Tuesday night.

"I wasn't aggressive in Game 3, and I knew that", Durant told ESPN.

For all the talent the Golden State Warriors have on their roster, it would amount to nothing if not for the remarkable chemistry the players have developed.

This is not to make light work of the Pelicans, who have certainly been a hard opponent. "We were flying around on the defensive end to start the game and pushing the temp on the offensive end". What Durant hasn't been doing well, however, is shooting the ball well from downtown. The Pelicans are hitting 78.5 percent at the line as a team so far. In fact, Betfair Sports has posted very lopsided odds in favor of Golden State at 1.12, while the Pelicans are at 7.00.

Anthony Davis had 26 points and 12 rebounds and was a flawless 10 for 10 from the free-throw line.

The captain of the ship for New Orleans has been Jrue Holiday. The result was a 17-4 game-opening burst that created a lead the Warriors never came close to relinquishing.

Utah shot just 39 per cent from the floor and 24.1 per cent from 3-point range. Still, head coach Steve Kerr's group looks like the overwhelming favorite in the series. Considering the Warriors have won 14 straight postseason games, Cook could see extended minutes if this game gets out of hand. The beauty of having four All-Stars in the starting lineup is anyone can go off in a moment's notice, making it nearly impossible to account for everyone over the course of a game.

Cavs Reportedly Won't Punish Rodney Hood for Refusing to Enter Game 4
His refusal to play during "garbage minutes" upset a few members of the team, who questioned his motives following the game. Rodney Hood might have some explaining to do, but there probably isn't much he can say to help his case at this point.

Jazz forward Jae Crowder shot one for 11 from the field with five points and five rebounds.

Curry scored 23 points as the Warriors bounced back from defeat on Friday night to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 118-92. A three-time NBA All-Star, Green is averaging 12.4 points, 11.2 rebounds and 9.0 assists during the 2018 playoffs.

With Durant in Barnes' place, some have taken to call it the "Hamptons 5" - Curry, Thompson, Green, and Iguodala all went to the Hamptons in NY in the summer of 2016 to recruit Durant to the team. The Warriors gave JaVale McGee the starting nod in the series against San Antonio but switched things up in this series. "But we have to win one game right now, that's it".

This series has been one of the best to watch, and fans have really gotten their money's worth. New Orleans has to get Mirotic and Rondo to step up and balance the offense.

The Utah Jazz will be looking to stave off elimination as they take on the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Game 5 on Tuesday.

Apparently, he deemed Game 4 a big moment. Who emerges with the win in this contest?

Simply slowing the game down isn't going to lead the Jazz to victory. This fact makes each game a "win or go home" scenario for New Orleans. This one likely falls short as well.
