Cavs Reportedly Won't Punish Rodney Hood for Refusing to Enter Game 4

Hood feels bad about the incident that happened with 7:38 left in the fourth quarter, and he expressed remorse on Tuesday to team officials about becoming a distraction, said the person who spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Rodney Hood hasn't clicked with the Cavaliers offense since joining Cleveland in February, and on Monday night his frustrations boiled over to the point where he refused to enter the game in the midst of a fourth quarter blowout against the Raptors.

His refusal to play during "garbage minutes" upset a few members of the team, who questioned his motives following the game.

It's an odd scene to watch play out at this point in the postseason, but it's also easy to see why Hood has been frustrated with his role on the Cavaliers of late. That led to Cedi Osman replacing Hood in the rotation for Game 4, which would seem the reason for Hood's discontent.

Hood is averaging 4.6 points per game in 10 playoff games and has not scored more than 12 points in any of them.

Ensuring the hypercar sticks to the ground is an advanced aerodynamic package that Brabham claims can over 1,200kg of downforce. Brabham Automotive says the BT62 has been "specifically designed, developed and tested to reward like no other".

Monday's game, which finished the sweep of the Raptors in front of the home fans, was the ideal chance for Hood to gain some rhythm, with almost nothing at stake and plenty of minutes to hoist from distance.

The Athletic first reported that Hood had angered teammates and others in the organization by rejecting coach Tyronn Lue's instruction to enter the game. "We're trying to win a championship", an unnamed Cavaliers player told The Athletic about Hood's behavior.

Rodney Hood might have some explaining to do, but there probably isn't much he can say to help his case at this point. He is in the final year of his contract and is set to become a restricted free agent this summer.

According to Lloyd, Cavs GM Koby Altman plans to meet with Hood to get his side of the story, though there are reports that a suspension could be in play.
