  • Man Eats 30000th Big Mac, Setting New World Record

Don Gorske holds the world record for "Most Big Macs Consumed" and now, he's hit a milestone: his 30,000th Big Mac.

But it's an absurd number of Big Macs.

On top of that, McDonald's United States of America headquarters said: "We are lovin' Don Gorske's enthusiasm for our iconic Big Mac sandwich and appreciate his ongoing loyalty".

'This one is a biggie for me, something I have been looking forward to, ' Don says.

If success could be measured in McDonald's Big Macs, then a Wisconsin man has done it all.

Gorske tucked into his 30,000th at 3pm, May 4, under the famous Golden Arches at his local McDonald's on Military Road. He has an impressive collection of receipts, burger wrappers, and containers.

"People like to see proof", he said.

Gorske says he's eaten so many because he just loves hamburgers.

Asked about the haters and doubters, Gorske was serene: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me".

Gorske says that regardless of consuming the fast-food favourite not less than as soon as a day, his ldl cholesterol and blood strain readings are each regular.

Gorske also collects mementos of his Big Mac orders.

He said at the time he might eat his 30,001st while watching himself on TV.

He takes the burger as is comes: beef patty, special sauce, lettuce (he remembers, in 1984, when McDonald's switched to shredded), gherkins, onions, sesame seed bun.

Not only that, but in 2006 he finished the San Diego marathon while holding his 21,387th Big Mac, proving once and for all that he is indestructible. There have only been eight days that have not included a Big Mac with the most recent being November 23, 2011.

This Sunday is mothers' day and it's expected to be one of the biggest ever. That day was April 27, 1988.

After he was honoured, he did exactly what you'd expect - he bought another Big Mac to eat when he got home.

"Maybe I'll be eating it when I catch myself on the news, who knows", he said.
