  • YouTube Kids app gets better parental controls finally

For giving more control to the parents, Facebook has recently launched kids messenger app. Facebook's Messenger app for Kids gives parents the control over who their kids talk to. In the time since its arrival on iOS in December, the app has graduated to Android, but on that same day a report emerged highlighting how numerous "experts" who had vetted the original Messenger Kids app were funded by Facebook. They can't send or receive messages and video calls, play with the augmented reality camera filters, or receive notifications until Sleep Mode ends. Even if the kid tries to open the app while it in "sleep mode", a message will pop up telling him/her to come back later. Sleep mode is controlled from the Parent Control center in the parent's Facebook account and the "off times" can be changed at any time.

The feature has just one major shortcoming.

Malik Ducard, the global head of family and learning content for YouTube, said, "Over the last three years, we've worked hard to create a YouTube Kids experience that allows kids to access videos that are enriching, engaging and allows them to explore their endless interests".

Parents, before you toss your young child an iPad or smartphone to watch videos in the YouTube Kids app, you better make sure they're seeing something appropriate for their age.

Ford cutting production of cars to just Mustang, Focus by 2020
Ford is known for SUVs and trucks. "Ford also made station wagons and woodies, and those were sort of the forerunners of SUVs". Ford Fusion sales, for example, declined 21 percent while Nissan Altima sales declined 17 percent.

Google announced late Wednesday it will give parents more control over the videos appearing in their account and on their device, by limiting the videos displayed to those reviewed by human being employees.

The social media platform's Messenger Kids app is getting a pretty nice update in the near future.

Among the new features on YouTube Kids app, Collections will allow parents to choose collections from a particular channel for their children. More parental controls in apps focused on kids are always a good thing, so this Sleep Mode is a welcome addition to Messenger Kids.

Parents can access all of their controls from the Messenger Kids controls in the main Facebook app. The social network insists that it is not sharing the data with any external parties. You can set different times for weekdays versus weekends. "It seemed an opportunity for us to let parents have the controls online that than they do offline". Messenger Kids application is absolutely for free and you can download the app for both, iOS and Android platform for free.
